The last lap!

The last lap!

Graston Farm Cottages are very nearly complete! We have trades working constantly to ensure that the finished cottages really reflect the care we have put into planning them.

Andrew has been laying lawns for Courtyard and Cobbles, whilst the terracing for each cottage is complete. A wet spell has prevented the planting, just yet, but the garden plants are all ready to go in when the weather improves.

Inside the carpets and other floor finishes are being laid, and next week our beautiful curtains are coming – from Soft Options of Honiton.

On Monday – I undertook to buy all of the utensils and cook ware required for the kitchens, all of the bed linen, rugs, and odds and ends for the cottages, no-one should have to go round Ikea twice!! However it is all here, laundered and ready for the bed which will arrive on Thursday next week from The Old Creamery in Yeovil.

In the Paddock, activity is growing with caravans booked in through August – there is still space though! Also in the farmhouse there are bookings for overnight accommodation, local weddings making sure that visitors need beds close by!

Bridport Carnival takes place in August (16th) and the torchlight procession makes this a very special event. I shall be flipping burgers with the other Rotarian in Buckydo Square, which usually does very brisk trade indeed. We get a ringside seat from this vantage point, but last year I hardly recall looking up from my cooking hot plate it was so busy.

So the final push is on! look out foe further posts to check availability form August 7th onwards.
