Access Statement

Upon arrival at Graston Farm you will enter down a 120 metre concrete drive at the end of which is a speed bump whereby you will see a sign with arrows pointing to the individual cottages. There is space for parking two cars outside each cottage with further space for extra parking not far away.

Only Cobbles has a step leading to the front door with all others a very slight inclined pathway.

Courtyard has a couple of internal steps into and out of the sitting room area which is mirrored on the landing above leading to the bedrooms. There are also two steps from the sitting room down into the garden although level access from the dining area.

Cobbles has steps down into the garden with none throughout the ground and first floors.

Stile has no steps throughout the ground and first floors including into the garden.

Hopscotch is designed to be wheelchair friendly with a downstars twin bedroom incorporating an en-suite wet room and toilet. There are grab handles for both the toilet and shower, with a shower chair available on request. There are no steps throughout the ground floor and out onto the terrace and lawn. Should visitors have a requirement for specialist disabled equipment, items such as hoists and surgical beds can be hired in from ACTIVE MOBILITY in Dorchester. Please get in touch for contact details.

Barn Cottage has the same if not larger floor space with all the bedrooms upstairs and separate sitting room, dining-room, kitchen and hallway. With it being the original cottage, first converted from a stone barn in 1876, the access would be inherently difficult for those with limited mobility and would be difficult to improve without compromising its original charm. The cottage did however undergo considerable refurbishment three years ago.

Access outside of the cottages is mostly on the level with individually secured gardens and access to public footpaths leading into the village and our surrounding peaceful and picturesque countryside.
