Lamb Feeding – Graston Farm

Lamb Feeding – Graston Farm

It is our favourite time of year when the children (and their grown ups) help us feed the lambs. This year we have 12 lambs at Graston Farm and they are in two lots – by age. The eight in the picture live beside the Mabels (our hens) and have been a delight since they arrived from the neighbouring farm. They are either orphans or the third of triplets, which mother cannot manage. We hand rear them and bring them on, whilst providing a lovely diversion for our guests.

We have had a busy spring with lots of guests in the cottages and in the paddock camping or caravanning. The weather too has been glorious, providing hours of spring sunshine for delighted guests.

Piglet has been a joy for the guests too, she loves people, especially little ones and is frequently walked by the guests and their children – she’s a lucky girl.
